The crew-cut Viking told his story. A familiar one, in many ways. During COVID-19, the fall came swiftly—business crumbling under the weight of closures, bureaucracy tightening like ivy around what once grew freely. Institutions meant to support sometimes became part of the storm.
And yet, not all fires stay extinguished.
After a few detours, a few wrong turns, he’s finding his way back. Back to that younger self—the owner of a sports school, full of drive, rhythm, and grit. Reclaiming something that never fully left him.
It’s hard not to feel the quiet tragedy of what those years did to small business owners. Not just financially, but personally. Lives reshaped, identities shaken. And for fathers, sometimes judged more harshly than understood, the weight can be heavier still.
But here he stands.
