At times
People whisper
Man can
Adapt
To the environment
Apply
A masquerade
Of tone and vibe
Back in my garden
In Kampala
A chameleon
Used to live
The movement
Of this spirited animal
Is worth a thesis
A poem
Slow – not the word
And those rolling eyes
The tongue thrown out
At the speed of light
Flies stand no chance
The majesty of the color
Hard to see them at all
