AI in healthcare adapt or perish

The NHS’s move to explore artificial intelligence in healthcare is a critical step that will shape how medical services evolve in the coming years. Without active involvement from public health systems, there is a real risk that innovation will become fragmented and driven by commercial interests rather than patient needs. This initiative highlights both the urgency and the opportunity: AI can strengthen healthcare delivery if it is implemented thoughtfully, ethically, and under strong public leadership.
