2025 Birds eye view – Ashis

2025 was the year a company thrived — Dokter Ashis and Nishanish — giving purpose to a path.

Collecting money not for accumulation, but for freedom.

Freedom to create time.

Time to play with Mr. Crab and hand out presents.

To write poetry and give it away.

To paint. To read. To write.

It was a year of many deaths, some births, some illness, some healing.

Of kickboxing, Mounjaro, weight loss, pondering, and — slowly — finding love again.

A special year of traveling with Nisha and Anish: to Japan, to Crete.

Of interviewing, vector talks, and unraveling the beauty of the unconference — setting up something that feels like success, not in numbers, but in meaning.

For 2026 I think of Dit is Goede Zorg, friends, the people close by — and people far away.

Those in Darfur. In Congo. In Yemen. Forgotten souls who are not to be trampled upon.

They taught me humility. Resilience. Dignity. Humor.

As we close this year, may their lives be filled with peace and hope for better times.

We live in strange times — where narcissism seems to drive capitalism beyond its limits, and too many people are left out, left behind.

So what can I do?

Keep doing what I do.

Step up.

Stand out.

Don’t be afraid.

Just do.
