Three movies in 24 hours. What a feast.
First up: Verity. A dark noir tale of a writer and her uncompromising thrillers—with a twist. And that final twist? Well, it was, at the very least, twisty.
Then The Minions: a feast of recognition, with moviemaking at its heart and a couple of little yellow dreamers getting their moment. An absolute treat.
And finally, Street Fighter. How do you turn a computer game that played such a pivotal role in so many lives into a movie? With characters that sit somewhere between cartoon and human, and a joyful mixture of manga, acting and storytelling. They did remarkably well. A very, very enjoyable watch. And yes—there’s a part two.
Of course, in all three movies, the popcorn helped.
